This definitive-basic Yellow-legged Gull
(Larus michahellis) was photographed by Martin Reid
at Merdja Zerga, NW Morocco, in mid-February 1989. The primary
pattern with black only to P5 and a long white tip to P10 (albeit
with no apparent mirror on P9) points towards this being michahellis
rather than atlantis:
