This very large juvenile nominate Yellow-legged
Gull (Larus michahellis michahellis) was photographed
by Ronald Klein in Baltic Germany in August 1995. Ronald comments:
"michahellis juvenile (right) and 1st.- summer argentatus.
The pale bill-pattern of the michahellis is untypical.
Colour-ringed in Italy". Note the uppertail/rump pattern
in the second image below:
