This gull was at Elliot Landfill, Corpus Christi, Texas on March 18, 2005; it has the structure of a Western Gull with the plumage of a LBBG (mostly). I feel this gull has some Kelp Gull in it - but how much? Perhaps it is a first-summer Kelp, though the timing seems wrong for a Southern Hemisphere breeding cycle... but maybe there are some Kelps somewhere (Caribbean? West Africa?) breeding on a northern Hemisphere cycle:
