This first-cycle gull was photographed December 27, 2007 in the Coastal Plain near Houston, Texas; I do not think it is an LBBG, and although in some ways it is like Canarian YLGUs, I feel it also suggests Kelp Gull, while the paleness of the second-generation mantle and scapular feathers is reminiscent of heuglini:-
